  • Who can order?

    Anyone in the UK with a UK Bank account.

    To prevent fraud, and to comply with important AML and KYC regulations, we have built a user identification verification system.

    To remove any restrictions from your account we ask that you submit a upgrade request of 'Trusted' which found under your accounts dashboard.

  • What are your opening hours?

    As a general rule, we operate between 8AM - 11PM seven days a week.

    We aren't an automated service and our platform requires professional digital asset vendors to be online.

  • Do you store any cryptocurrencies on your platform?

    No, for security reasons, we don't store any currencies of any form at all.

    It also doesn't fit in our business model. We're not a professional market exchange.

    We are a Peer-To-Peer platform that connects you to a professional digital asset vendor. Once you order with cryptomonster, the trade is between two professional individuals on our platform. Our job is to ensure that the platform runs smoothly, all vendors are monitored & the growth of our platform continues.

    Using Peer-To-Peer methodology, your funds aren't 'stored' anywhere during transit and therefore cannot be stolen. Funds are proccessed once an order is fully paid for to the individual Vendor, not before, and subsequently sent to the destination wallet you provide immediately there after.

  • How do your asset charts work?

    We take the price of a given asset every hour and create a 24 hour timeline of it's price.

    From there, we create a plot of each hour, which gives us the pricing chart for each asset over the last 24 hours.

  • How does your asset ticker work?

    We take the price of a given asset every hour and calculate the change in price.

    Different to the 24 hour chart, it gives visibility of the price change percentage of each asset every hour.

  • How does it work?

    Our platform connects you to a network of professional digital asset vendors across the UK.

    Once you order with cryptomonster, the trade is between two professional individuals on our platform (you and the vendor). As we're not a physical exchange, this provides us with added security as our business model does not require us to store any currencies of any form at all.

    Essentially, we are a Peer-To-Peer platform that connects you to a professional digital asset vendor who processes your order. Our unique selling point is hand-picking our trusted professional digital asset vendors, and providing an easy-to-use, friction free platform to buy digital assets.

  • What payment methods do you accept?

    We only accept UK bank to UK bank (Faster Payments).

    Sadly, there are individuals who commit fraud, and ruin it for the many. As all blockchain transactions are immutable (cannot be changed), there's nothing we can do to get any sent cryptocurrency back. Therefore, services such as Credit Card payments are not a viable option due to charge-back fraud.

  • I'm worried about sending money via Bank Transfer. Is there another payment method available?

    Unfortunately, this is our only payment method. Faster Payments is an extremely fast and efficient system.

    Sadly, there are individuals who commit fraud, and ruin it for the many. As all blockchain transactions are immutable (cannot be changed), there's nothing we can do to get any sent cryptocurrency back. Therefore, services such as Credit Card payments are not a viable option due to charge-back fraud.

    If you're worried about sending money to one of our trusted digital asset vendors, it's likely not the purchase for you, and that's absolutely fine. We advise that you look at other products that suit your needs.

  • Help! My order has expired

    The main reasons is to safeguard against market fluctuations when we quote you a certain price, or we haven't received payment from you.

    If you don't mark your order as paid when it is accepted, then we automatically expire the order after a period of time.

    Don't worry, though - if you have transferred funds to your vendor these will be tracked down and your order will be updated accordingly. Often, the delay is likely down to your bank you are sending from holding the payment due to fraud checks.

    It's worthwhile contacting your bank to see if this is the case, should your payment be severely delayed in reaching us.

  • What is a cryptocurrency wallet?

    A cryptocurrency wallet is a secure digital wallet used to store, send, and receive digital currency. Most coins have an official wallet or a few officially recommended third party wallets. In order to use any cryptocurrency you will need to use a cryptocurrency wallet.

    Wallet types

    Web based, such as an exchange.

    You would navigate to a URL and use a secure sign in to access your Cryptocurrency with this example.

    Application based, which will be installed locally on a computer or mobile device.

    These are considered user friendly, as some, such as Jaxx (Jaxx.io) can be used as a multi-currency wallet - having the ability to store several coins, each under their own unique wallet addresses.

    Hardware or Token based.

    These are generally considered most secure as they are effectively ‘disconnected’. These are recommended for storage needs, but do carry a cost to purchase.

    While cryptomonster might be able to advise availability of suitable wallets for a coin, please do carefully consider what wallet is correct for your needs.

  • What cryptocurrencies can I buy from cryptomonster?

    With a whole host of Cryptocurrencies currently available, we have carefully selected those we feel are the most popular and represent the largest demand.

    These coins will be Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Ethereum Classic (ETC), Ripple (XRP), Litecoin (LTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Zcash (ZEC), DASH (DASH).

    We will constantly review those coins available on the platform.

Receiving assets


  • What information do I need to have before making a purchase from cryptomonster?

    There are only a few steps involved before you can place an order via cryptomonster.

    1. Simply register and verify your email address.
    2. Make sure you have a valid wallet for the currency you wish to purchase.
    3. Make sure you have a UK Bank Account with faster payments, in YOUR NAME.
    4. UK Bank Accounts are currently the only accepted payment method

    For larger orders you may need to perform additional verification. More details on Verification and limits can be found here.

  • How long will it take to receive my cryptocurrency?

    Once your order has been accepted by a digital assets vendor, cryptomonster aims to complete your order within 20 minutes of payment being received.

    We strive to complete all accepted orders within an hour.

    There may however, be circumstances where this time is extended, such as delays in receipt of payment, the blockchain suffering delays in confirming transactions etc. These will always be circumstances outside our control.

  • What does 'Unverifed' mean, and how do I increase my order limits?

    We have 3 tiers of verification governing how much you can order in a single instance.

    Tier 0 (Unverified) allows orders to be placed from £100 to £200 and only requires site registration. A lifetime limit of £1,000 is imposed, and no orders will be taken after that amount has been reached. You will need to verify with as Tier 1 (Trusted) us or continue ordering.

    Verifying to Tier 1 (Trusted) allows orders to be placed from £100-£1,000.

    Verifying to Tier 2 (Premium) allows orders to be placed from £100-£5,000.

    Verifying to Tier 3 (Investor) allows orders to be placed from £100-£25,000.

  • Are there any additional or hidden fees?

    None. What you see is what you get, delivered to your wallet.

    The price you are quoted is the price you pay once your order is accepted by one of our Vendors. To cover the costs of running our platform we are above market rate.

  • What do I do if I have any issues with my order?

    Please allow the vendor a reasonable window to complete your order, but you can contact support using our contact page.

  • How are your prices calculated?

    Our prices are fully inclusive. They include site costs, transaction fees, vendor costs and take into account the capital put at risk by vendors.

    These are already presented to you and included at point of sale. No further price changes happen after the quotation is accepted during your order process.

  • Does your platform support bespoke or corporate accounts?

    Yes, we are able to provide bespoke or corporate accounts to support your requirements.

    If this is the case, then we recommend that you create an account under the name of the main beneficicary of the assets. For example, this could be a company Director or Financial Controller.
